Bay Hotel

This traditional inn was established in 1890 and is popular with holidaymakers using the range of beautiful beaches on this stretch of the Sussex Coastline.

Pevensey is also part of the Cinque Ports, a group of townsa that pledeged to supply men & ships to fight against invasion. The area was renowned for smuggling. In Pevensey village you can still see remains of Pevensey Castle, the fort was one of nine forts that stood defending the south coast against Saxon Invaders. Pevensey village is some 4 miles from the sea but at one time the sea went as far back as Hailsham, 7 miles inland!

Martin and Michelle look forward to welcoming you to the Bay Hotel so please look at the facilities on offer and we hope to see you very soon.
